Garena Free Fire Bermuda Map Temporarily Removed

Garena Free Fire is a battle royale game known for its epic collaboration with some of the biggest franchises in pop culture. Most of the events and significant updates in the game points to new partnerships or seasonal events. So, when the developers announced the remastered version of one of its three maps, the Free Fire community has never been hyped. With that said, let’s take a quick overview of Bermuda 2.0, the current partnership, and the upcoming events.

The Bermuda Map has always been one of the most iconic maps in Garena Free Fire; after all, it serves as the game’s main map. So when the developers announced a remastered version of the map, it hyped the game’s fans. The Bermuda Remastered or Bermuda 2.0 introduced new cities (Academy, Nurek Dam, Fisherman Creek, Aden’s Creek, Hydrapower, and Yagami Garden) new buildings and items. Bermuda 2.0 went live on January 1, 2021, and has received high acclaim from Free Fire’s massive community of players.

Unfortunately, the map has been taken down on January 17, 2021, so that the dev team can apply the necessary adjustments and optimizations based on the community’s feedback. Bermuda 2.0 was not the only surprise that went live on January 1, 2021.

Also, the creators added the highly sought-out melee weapon Scythe in the game. As to when the map will go live again remains unknown. Nevertheless, fans of the game are still enjoying the current collaboration event with One Punch Man. So there’s a lot of activities to do in the game at the moment.

Speaking of the latest collaboration, Free Fire players now have the opportunity to provide their character with Saitama a.k.a. the One Punch Man’s abilities. Suppose you are one of the players who missed the collaboration details. Some of the items featured in the game include Saitama’s Pajamas.

In that case, I’m Saitama emote, Villains 3-in-1 Backpack, Gloo Wall – One Punch Man, and much more. Each of the items, along with those not mentioned, is obtainable by participating in the “Path to Hero Event”. For those who missed the events from the 16th to the 26th, you can still get the Saitama Parachute by collecting tokens from dead loot boxes from January 23 to January 29, 2021.

As for future events, rumours and screenshots of the upcoming emote Valentine’s Day party and the upcoming collaboration. New emotes and items for the coming day of cherubs features outfits with hearts and other love-themed things. Interestingly, the forthcoming collaborations that as per rumours could with Alice in Wonderland or Attack on Titan.

Either way, both franchises will look good in Free Fire. With that said, take these rumours with a grain of salt as none of the details confirmed by the game’s developer. Nevertheless, it is always great to look forward to after the One Punch Man collaboration event.
